Meet Your Bugaboo!
What is a Money Bugaboo?
Bugaboos are the subconscious thoughts and behaviors created in your mind in order to avoid a negative feeling about money.
This means:
Your biggest concern around money is fear of failure which leads you to set income goals that are either too high and impossible to attain or too low.
Unrealistic income goals often lead to inconsistent money flow and a roller coaster ride of uncertainty.
You never feel you have enough income to support your dreams but setting a goal feels like such a heavy burden or mythical pipe dream that you resist setting goals that are realistic and attainable.
As someone with the Setting Income Goal(s) Bugaboo:
You may avoid tracking income, looking at your financial data or tracking results of your business growth and marketing efforts.
The Income Goal Bugaboo often feels like a giant storm cloud that you can’t get out from under.
You feel you have to work hard to prove you are deserving of steady and abundant income.
You may have felt since childhood, or heard modeled by parents, “something always falls out of that dark cloud to take my money.”
You aren’t prepared to deal with unexpected bills, repairs, injuries or even taxes.
That dark cloud experience leads to constant worry, feelings of restlessness, fear, insomnia, deep grief and perpetual frustration.
